I started watching CBC’s Being Erica not too long after it was released. It was surprisingly good, especially for a Canadian show, which I’ll admit I don’t watch too often because… well… let’s face it, Canadian production levels were never on par with its American counterparts – until now, I suppose. Erin Karpluk (The L Word, Godiva’s) plays the titular role, and for a 30-something, she is HAWT. As a neat promotional strategy, they even released a prequel of sorts in the form of a blog, complete with some vlogging clips that will give you insight into the silly character of Erica Strange.
Also, here’s the catchy theme song by Lily Frost, which doesn’t even have a title, as it was written specifically for the show. It’s very pop folk and sort of sounds like Feist. Fortunately, I give credit where it’s due – the song was ripped, stitched, and encoded by Bruzsy (and his unnamed friend) as originally posted on Yahoo! Answers. My version just has tags and cover art. ^_^
