I somehow caught a cold flu on Friday. It hit me hard that day. Although I was well enough to go to the WP for work yesterday, it was a rough time, and I couldn’t do deliveries. I sucked down some liquid Tylenol (because I can’t swallow pills) to stave off the fever, and although one cannot imagine working in a kitchen while sick, I somehow managed without contaminating the food too much. Well, let’s just say that I sneezed and coughed into ingenious places that wouldn’t require me to wash my hands every time I did so.
I decided, since I’m working at the restaurant every evening except for Monday (because we’re closed), to install DSL at the WP. There have been times when I could have looked something up, surfed the Web, or did some work or blogging during the stagnant times of the week. So, I ordered it online through our local carrier, MTS, on Tuesday. On Friday, I received the DSL modem. I was completely useless on Friday because I was sneezing so much that I was leaking, so I went home and watched a couple movies and four episodes of a Korean drama. It sucks that in order for me to get some time off to relax and watch some shows, I have to be sick. I’m just relieved that nobody needed their PCs fixed this weekend.
On Saturday, I dropped Mom and AM off at the WP, and decided to stop in for lunch before heading downtown to pick up meds and some odds and ends. While waiting for Mom to get ready, I decided to hook up the DSL modem and check to see if the line was enhanced yet. Sure, enough, it was, and I hooked up the office PC and connected to the internet in due time. After running all the overdue web updates on the office PC, Mom and I went downtown, picked up meds, soup, and a wireless router. Three completely unrelated things, eh?
Now, all I need to do is set up one of the old office PCs and I’ll have a PC to surf on. Yay for porn! I mean, internet!
