So, this is cool. I’m going for a Windows Server 2003 five-day training course in Winnipeg this November. Not like I really need it, but I’ll take anything that will get me out of Thompson and get me closer to being certified (any cert will do). I thought I would have to drive down, stay with friends or family, and expense it all back. However, it appears that I’m being flown down to the city, provided with a car rental, and although I will still stay with friends or family and pay for my own meals, I am set! This is living the company life, man! Originally, I was offered to cab my way around the city, but that’s no fun. Winnipeg is a city that is meant to be driven in. Other cities like Toronto or Vancouver are just too traffic heavy to handle driving anywhere, and the mass transit is just easier to deal with. However, with Winnipeg, it’s big, but still small enough to drive around in. All I really care about is the fact that I don’t have to drive 16 hours there and back. What a relief!
So, about Family Guy‘s third episode on Sunday – Joe went under the knife for double leg transplants, and became a jackass because of it. It was as hilarious as Hitler on a unicycle (see episode for details). Heroes yesterday – freaking phenomenal. Sylar, Niki, and Micah make their first appearances in Season Two, lots of Peter Petrelli coolness, and D.L.’s shocking fate. I still haven’t seen last week’s Smallville, so I will have to catch it before the third episode airs on Thursday.
Finally, Transformers is out on DVD next week! I can’t wait! I might end up picking up the HD version too, just to have it in high-def, although I will need to pick up the HD-DVD player for my XBox 360. Autobots, transform and roll out!
